This week I was invited for the second time to speak on the Teachnet podcast station and the topic was Interactive Whiteboards. I’m fairly happy with what I had to say although I failed to mention many of the options by name except for Promethean and Smart. I mentioned eBeam too. However, I regret that I didn’t get to mention my favourite IWBs, which are less well known but excellent products. I was happy that I made the point about not spending more than €2,500 on an IWB. It’s crazy the number of teachers who are spending double that for little reason. I thought the other two speakers spoke very well and they certainly got across the point that IWBs have transformed their teaching and their classrooms generally.
Should I use a phone for making videos in school?
I bought a decent video camera about 5 years ago for my school and haven’t used more than half a dozen times, mostly for videoing
