A Correction

I’ve been under the impression that Prim-Ed and Promethean were one and the same company, wrongly.  I received an email from Prim-Ed’s marketing department to put me right.

According to Prim-Ed Marketing department:

Prim-Ed Publishing is an Irish owned company with approx 40 employees with our office based in New Ross, Co. Wexford. Prim-Ed became the exclusive Irish distributors of Promethean Interactive Whiteboards in April 2005. From then, under the name of Prim-Ed we have tried to educate the Irish market on the benefits of using IWBs in education. Prim-Ed are now introducing some new products including touch screen overlays, visualisers and wireless keyboards to our portfolio of products, however we still continue to sell Promethean Interactive Whiteboards under the Promethean name – just to recognise that we are two different companies! As always we are eager to see the views of many teachers throughout various applications on the internet, but we are keen to ensure that all information stated is correct.

So, I’ll try my very best not to mix them up again.  In the meantime, when you read any of my previous posts, please accept my apologies when I go wrong.
