Today was the first day of spring, cue lots of teaching and learning about the stereotypical signs of spring…new flowers, new plants, a spring feel to the weather, brighter and warmer weather etc etc
This morning Seomra 5 junior infants were greeted with snow, -1 degrees and general bad winter feel…Hmm..How do i explain this to a junior infants class without speaking about global warming which experts can’t even agree on !
How about we take the seasons out of he curriculum or just make up a new season?
What could we call the Spring Season that actually looks, feels and is WINTER???!!
