Review: 101 activities to help children get on with each together by Jenny Mosley and Helen Sonnet
Again, as seems to be the case with my recent reviews of the Jenny Mosley’s books, the title gives away the contents!
We are coming into a busy and challenging time for teachers and students. Children are full of energy and the class may have finally settled in. You might be finding that you need some pick-up activities to help the children calm down and get on with each other and Jenny Mosley comes to the rescue!
The book is made up of 101 practical and easy to pick up and use activities that place emphasis on helping children get on together. This book also helps the teacher assess a child in your class and their ability to cooperate, speak and listen to each, work in partnerships and various ways to express themselves.
A nice feature of this book is the photocopiable resources section at the end where the teacher can use to implement any of the activities.
The book is divided into different sections like working in pairs, expending energy together, investigations, letters and words, art projects, drama, outdoor activities, rhythm and dance and construction.
I highly recommend this book for the busy teacher who needs a bit of advice if their class are needing skill development in the area of cooperative relationships. They can be used as icebreakers or separate activities within the lesson plan.

Have used some of the activities already. Easy to implement, fun for the children and lots related to working cooperatively. Very useful!
