The Eircom Junior Spider Awards are now open for entries. Entries are open to everyone aged between 4-19 years of age from the Republic or Northern Ireland may enter the awards. Those who enter are representing themselves and if they wish they will also be representing their School/Coderdojos/Education Centres. Entrants may enter as an individual, as a group of up three or as class/school( If you are entering representing your school) For a full description of the different age groups, click here.
Over the last few years, primary schools across the country showcase their wonderful web sites but this year, things have changed regarding this year’s entry criteria. The competition is now open to entries from all youths under the age of 19 years.
There are also a few brand new categories which include:
- Independent and Group Projects for Mega, Giga & Tera Spiders
- Best Transition year Project for Tera Spiders
- Creative Web Coding for Mega, Giga & Tera Spiders.
Key Dates include: March 11th: Closing Date for Entries and April 20th: eircom Junior Spider Awards event at the Facebook Dublin. Any questions can be answered at the web site’s FAQs here.
