In this episode I explore the further collapse of special education in our system. I look at all the services that have fallen asunder including NEPS, which made the news last week after a NEPS psychologist contacted a journalist. I verified what he/she said was true. I’ve been complaining about education for years and, by far, this was the one issue I received more messages about than any other before it. All of them were positive, except, of course, from NEPS themselves. Guess who they blame? Me.
School Transport is another area that requires re-examination. The expansion of the school transport system without proper planning is inevitable. Guess who I blame? You already know it’s the church!
Irish exemptions have also been a contentious issue in recent years. And guess who the Department of Education are blaming? You already know it’s schools!
Finally, in what become a regular thing, I find a load of schools being built and regifted to the church. In this episode, I think there’s over €15m being gifted to them alone.
