"I believe we can collectively make the Irish education system the best in Europe"
Richard Bruton, former Minister for Education
My name’s Simon and I’ve been running Anseo.net for almost 20 years. It’s probably about time I hosted a newsletter.
I don’t want it to be just any run-of-the-mill newsletter. I want to make sure I send you things that you’ll find interesting, make your blood boil, inspire your classroom practice, or all three.
Plus, I want to make sure you catch every episode of my podcast, ‘If I Were the Minister for Education.’
However, I also want to create a space for discussion away from the gotchas of social media because I believe if we ask big questions and cause some polite disruption, we could genuinely have the best education system, not only in Europe, but in the world.
Never miss an episode of my podcast with links to my latest ramblings about the Irish primary education system, alongside additional thoughts and discussions. You can join in too!
I scour the news in Ireland and across the world to find stories of interest to Irish primary educators. I'll provide links to some of the more interesting news stories and give my opinions on anything that really catches my eye.
To thank you for signing up to the newsletter, every so often I'll be sharing little gifts with you. You'll be first to hear about and try tools I'm creating to make teachers' lives easier. I might even send an odd subscriber something in the post.
