Everything I know about Féilte

Féilte is a festival organised by the Teaching Council for World Teachers’ Day on 5th October. Here is everything I know about it today, 6 days before the event.

  1. FÉILTE is an acronym standing for the Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence.
  2. It’s being held in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin.
  3. Fintan O’Toole and Aoibhinn NÍ Shúilleabháin will be there.
  4. There will be over 30 showcases of innovative teaching projects on display, some from practicing teachers. I can’t find any information about them.
  5. Tickets were given out by lottery.
  6. They have a Twitter account and a Twitter hashtag.

I’d really love to know more about the event because there’s so little information about it and it looks like I haven’t got a ticket. Maybe I could sneak in or since it’s in a hospital I might get my GP to refer me…
