Féilte is a festival organised by the Teaching Council for World Teachers’ Day on 5th October. Here is everything I know about it today, 6 days before the event.
- FÉILTE is an acronym standing for the Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence.
- It’s being held in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin.
- Fintan O’Toole and Aoibhinn NÍ Shúilleabháin will be there.
- There will be over 30 showcases of innovative teaching projects on display, some from practicing teachers. I can’t find any information about them.
- Tickets were given out by lottery.
- They have a Twitter account and a Twitter hashtag.
I’d really love to know more about the event because there’s so little information about it and it looks like I haven’t got a ticket. Maybe I could sneak in or since it’s in a hospital I might get my GP to refer me…
