Edublog Awards Nominations

It’s that time of the year again – the Edublog Awards are back for their 11th year. Every year, Anseo.net nominates its favourite blogs into this international competition. We were delighted last year to have nominated the overall winner, Seomra Ranga, so hopefully we’ll back a few more winners this time around again. If you haven’t voted in the awards, we’d really appreciate a nomination in any relevant category. Anseo.net is celebrating its 10th anniverary this January so it would be a lovely way to celebrate our milestone. (See our nominations below)

  • Best Class Blog: St. Peter’s Primary Bray Blog – By far the best primary school blog in the country. I’m always insanely jealous of it!
  • Best Ed Tech / Research Sharing Blog: Free Technology for Teachers – I follow this on Facebook and get great ideas all the time
  • Best Teacher Blog: Múinteoir Valerie – Only a couple years old but one of the most read teacher blogs in the country.
  • Best Individual Tweeter: Bianca Ní Ghrógáin (@bnighrogain) – Prolific but hits the nail on the head every time
  • Best Hashtag / Twitter Chat: #edchatie – Essential Irish education chat
  • Best Free Web Tool: Scratch – Now that it’s online, I guess this counts!
  • Best Educational Use of a Social Network: Carlow ETNS Facebook Page – I think my school does a great job of mixing information with parent interaction
  • Best Mobile App: Twitter – it’s probably the only one I use for educational purposes
