Setting up G Suite for Irish schools is a little more frustrating than for other countries. The process is the same but Irish schools have to make a phone call on top of everything else. The steps to follow are outlined on Google’s own help page:

Before you do anything, you will need a domain – that’s a web address, so you’ll have to buy that. There are loads of Irish companies that sell domains and you shouldn’t really be paying more than €50 per annum for one.
Next you need to request to join G Suite for Education, using this form: https://www.google.com/a/signup/u/0/?enterprise_product=GOOGLE.EDU#0
Once you’ve done that, you have to prove you are a school. This is where things can get tricky for Irish schools. Follow the steps: https://support.google.com/a/answer/60216 and you might get lucky but it is likely you will have to ring Google to prove to them you are ringing from a school and you are likely to have to scan a letterheaded page over to them.
Once you’ve gotten this out of the way, you’re all set!
